In the late 18 century, John Nash, the noted architect, moved into a building that he designed himself at 28 Dover Street. He constructed an even larger structure next door at 29 Dover Street. Today, the street is home to a large number of clubs, such as the Bath Club and the Capisce Club at 1 Dover Street.
